Welcome to the PGDE(P) Text Blog

Children come to school with some really smart kit in their pockets in the shape of their mobile phones, and what do we do? We make them turn them off! I get fed up when I go to conferences or lectures and the first thing I'm told is to turn my phone off.

So I am telling you to turn your mobile phones on. Obviously you should turn the sound off - a phone ringing in the middle of a lecture would just be rude. However, one of the things I will ask you to do is to use your phone to send a specially formatted text to 07786 202 820. Pose questions or share your thoughts and feelings about the lecture as it happens.

I will give small, chocolate based prizes for the best submissions. What do I mean by "best" - well the judge's decision is final and I am the judge! :-)
